The BBA program at the McCombs School of Business was ready for a new website in Fall 2008. I worked closely with one of our web designers along with a team of staff from the BBA program to develop the new site. Our first step involved competitive analysis of other undergraduate business program’s Web sites. This helped us to figure out a preliminary information architecture. We then held a focus group with BBA students to discuss what they were looking for and if the navigation we had come up with made sense. Our next step involved a brainstorming session with the BBA program team to figure out what content needed to be included and where it fit within the site. My final responsibilities involved interviewing students for profile information and taking their photos, creating the content and we also held various meetings to make sure we stayed on track throughout the whole process.
